First thing first, we do not take the ownership of the school. We provide guidance, consultation and direction to the client schools. As soon as our work is done and the client school finds itself confident enough to carry forward the school in accordance with its goals, we leave.
These are the general steps we take to scaffold the school from its current performance to
its potential performance:

1. Analysis and survey of the current performance of the client school which is usually
expressed in the following ways:

  • a. Location of the school vis-à-vis its clientele i.e. the study of the institution and its surroundings..
  • b. Perception of parents, teachers and students about the school.
  • c. Current strength of the school.
  • d. Qualification and remuneration of the teachers.

2. Finding lacunas and the root cause of the problem faced by the school by conducting in-school and outdoor surveys.

3. Developing training programmes for the teachers according to their level of understanding which includes a complete set of orientation modules, workshops and seminars for the teachers. Such training programmes are usually divided in a systematic fashion so that they can be held throughout the duration of our consultation
to the client school.

4. Re-designing the school logo, creating or re-structuring the school website, marketing the school’s facebook page, re-designing the school stationery to create an immediate impact on the current and prospective students (and their parents).

5. Training of management, evaluating its performance and suggesting the school owners about the necessary changes to be made in the school management to help the school reach its optimal performance. Designing a suitable management structure for proper scientific management of the school.

6. Guidance cum counseling the school students to bring about behavioural changes in them. Such behavioural changes help the student to become a proud member of the school which, in turn, acts as a catalyst to school’s positive image in the society.

7. Rigorous training sessions for the school teachers by subject experts to ensure their continuous professional development. The prime focus is to help the teachers to become tech-savvy, upskill themselves, develop sound teaching methodology and master the pedagogy of their subjects. The focus is to help the teachers transcend their
inhibitions, become intrinsically motivated and ready to reckon with the students’ learning requirements.

8. Using the school events such as PTMs, annual functions, sports events etc. in a meaningful manner to bring a change in perception of the school in the society.

9. Training the school management to assess the performance of the teachers.

10.Training the school teachers about new and innovative methods of assessing the students’ performance and using the assessment results to improve the students’ understanding levels.

11.Finally, SEV assesses its own performance and submits the final report to its client school. This comprehensive report highlights the changes done by SEV in the school and if such changes have benefitted the client school or not.

12.On the basis of this assessment and in light of the goals set out by it, the client school decides if it wishes to renew its contract with SEV or wants to terminate it depending upon what it plans about the future course of action.

When such steps are taken smoothly, the performance of the school automatically improves which creates a positive image of the school in the society and increases the strength of the school in terms of admissions. A school with more students is able to garner more funds for timely payment of salaries for its teachers and staff. In return, a well-paid teacher is generally more willing to work harder and employ novel methodologies in his/her teaching.

This ultimately leads to the achievement of highest goal, which is – shaping the destiny of India by producing thoughtful, zealous, ambitious, dedicated citizens who employ analytical and critical thinking at every step of their
professional, personal and social life and carry with them the highest degree of integrity, honesty and morality to serve the nation and the world at large.
